Ⅰ．緒言
副睾丸垂捻転症の報告は，Ombrédanne20）（1913）の第1例以来Litvak15）等（1964）まで欧米においては14例，本邦では小林13）（1938）に始まり三浦・中西18）（1957）まで5例を数えるにすぎない。このように本症の報告が少ないのは，概して本症の症状が軽微のため放置しても自覚症状に消長があり，重篤な臨床症状を伴わないため臨床医家の関心がうすく，診断不明あるいはそのまま放置経過せるものがあるためと思われる。
我々は最近本症の1例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。
4 years and 8 months old boy visited our clinic with the chief complaint of pain at the right side of the scrotum which occurred without any proximate cause. Right testicle is normal in size but a painful movable nodule of a pea size was palpable at the head of the right epididymis. Vas showed nothing particular. Torsion of the appendix epididymis was noticed as a pedunculated hematoma at the head of the right epididymis by operation and was removed. Torsion was 180 degree clockwise.
5 domestic cases and 14 foreign caeses was collected and torsion of the appendix was discussed.
