　はじめに

　Cauliflower-ear deformity（カリフラワー耳）は，別名柔道耳，相撲耳などといわれ，原因は反復する外傷により，軟骨膜と軟骨との間の出血が繰り返され，その部分が線維化，瘢痕化，石灰化などするために生じると考えられている^1〜3）。

　われわれは今回，本人の訴えでは特別の誘因なく耳介に腫脹を生じ，約2年の経過を経て両側性にカリフラワー耳となった症例を経験した。患者は24歳の男性で，アトピー性皮膚炎による掻痒が唯一の原因として推測されたので，考察を含め臨床経過を報告する。

A 24-year-old male presented with bilateral.auricular deformity with an appearance of cauli-flower ear. Although the patient has been affected with atopic dermatitis accompanied by itching of the auricle, he has no history of a direct blow or traction to the external ear. The investigation ruled out evidence of autoimmune disorders including collagen disease and polychondritis. It was therefore suggested that the cauliflower deformity was attributed to the constant touching of the auricle due to itching of atopic dermatitis.
