　はじめに

　軟骨肉腫は骨原性悪性腫瘍の10〜20％を占めるが，頭頸部領域では少ない。また，顎顔面領域での悪性腫瘍中の軟骨肉腫の発生率は0.3％である^1〜3）。今回われわれは，上顎骨に発生した1症例を経験したので，若干の考察を加えて報告する。

Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma is very rare. A 13-year-old female had a painless swelling in the cheek. A CT-scan showed a round tumor shadow with calcification in its margin in the right alveolarjuga extending into the maxillary sinus but not into the orbita. The tumor was diagnosed histopath-ologically as mesenchymal chondrosarcoma. Induc-tion chemotherapy was performed, but the tumor size did not decrease. Through midfacial degloving approach surgery was performed, then the tumor was en bloc resected and the defect of bony palate was reconstructed using a vascularized osteocuta-neous scapular flap. There was no evidence of recur-rence after the patient was discharged from the hospital.
