　はじめに

　小児鼻出血の背景として，アレルギーの関与を重視する意見がある^1）。小児では，鼻アレルギーの症状が明確でなかったり症状をうまく説明できない反面，鼻をいじったりして鼻出血を生じやすいからであろう。しかしこれまでの小児鼻出血とアレルギーの相関の検討は，耳鼻咽喉科外来を受診した例に対して実施されたものである。

　それに対しわれわれは今回，小中学生に対する通常の学校健診とスクラッチテストを施行したその結果から，児童生徒における鼻出血とスクラッチテスト陽性率の相関について検討した。

We investigated the correlation between nasal bleeding and positive rate of scratch test in 2677 elementary school children. Male pupils showed higher incidence of nasal bleeding than femalepupils. Pupils with nasal bleeding showed a signifi-cantly higher positive rate of scratch test than those without nasal bleeding. These findings suggested some correlation between nasal bleeding and allergy in children. The correlation between these two was higher in younger pupils who were unable to express their nasal symptoms. In older pupils, nasal bleeding may rarely be the first symptom of allergy.
