　はじめに

　正常者に比べた鼻アレルギー患者および花粉非飛散期に比べた飛散期の花粉症患者は化学伝達物質であるヒスタミンや神経遊離物質であるヒスタミンや神経遊離物質であるアセチルコリン，メサコリンに鼻粘膜過敏性を増している^1〜3）。その要因としてアレルギー反応に伴う浸潤細胞，化学伝達物質，神経系が重要視されている。

　要因の一つである浸潤細胞について鼻アレルギーでは，非アレルギー鼻疾患あるいは正常者とは異なり，鼻粘膜表層に好塩基性細胞，好酸球が多く存在する。今までに，鼻漏，鼻粘膜擦過片中の好塩基性細胞・好酸球と鼻症状の程度，抗原により誘発される症状の程度などとの関係は報告されている^2〜4）。しかし，鼻粘膜過敏性との関連は検討されていない。

The patients with nasal allergy show the hy-persensitivity of nasal mucosa as compared with normal persons. Many basophilic cells and eosi-nophils are observed in the surface of nasal mucosa in nasal allergy. In this report, we studied whether basophilic cells and eosinophils in the nasal mucosa in patients with perennial nasal allergy and normal subject were related with nasal hyper-sensitiviy. The positive rate of eosinophils in the nasal scraping was correlated with sensitivity of nasal mucosa to histamine. The grading derived from the combination of basophilic cells and eosinophils showed the high correlation with histamine reactivity. It was concluded that baso-philic cells and eosinophils in the nasal surface were factors of induction of nasal hypersensitiviy.
