緒言

　補聴器用のボタン型アルカリ電池が外耳道に嵌入し，骨部外耳道の広範な皮膚剥脱と鼓膜穿孔をきたした1症例を経験したので文献的考察を加え報告する。

A 68-year-old male impacted a miniature battery of his own hearing aid in the left ear with a 15-day's history of otalgia and purulent otorrhea is presented. After the removal of foreign body, necrosis and severe erosion with exposed bone of the deep meatus, and a perforation of the tympanic membrane were noted.

In the literature, 13 cases including our case of alkaline battery foregin bodies in the car were reported. Severe erosion of the meatus with exposed bone (in 11 patients), tympanic membrane perforation (9) were noted. Alkaline battery impacted in the ear caused more hazard than that ingested. It was supposed that the battery is one of the most dangerous foregin bodies in the ear.
