はじめに
小児の顔面疾患に対する治療，特に外科的治療は，当科の関谷1）が述べている通り，たとえ小さな侵襲でも術後に美容上の問題を大きく残すことがあり，手術に際しては術前の診断と手術法の慎重な選択が必要となる。
今回われわれは，小児の歯性頬部眼瞼部膿瘍症例を経験したので，その術前診断と術式の選択について留意した点について若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。
An infant had a sweelling of the right face and infraorbital large abscess, acompanying a pooly controlled high fever.
The causative agents were not identified but it was suspected that the inflammation spreaded through a subperiosteal space from the infected radix of an upper incisor.
A gingivobuccal incision and drainage was performed yielding a good relief without any skin contraction.
A brief comment on the differential diagnosis and treatment of the infant facial inflammation including an infant osteomyelitis maxillaris was made.
