当科における慢性中耳炎の臨床集計—とくにめまいと内耳瘻孔について

Statistical Survey on Chronic Otitis Media

I．はじめに

　慢性中耳炎は耳鼻咽喉科領域において重要かつ頻度の高い疾患である。その初発症状，臨床経過（随伴症状，再燃の有無など），聴力検査，平衡機能検査などの検査所見は個々の症例により多岐にわたる。手術的治療法，とくに鼓室形成術についても鼓膜，中耳腔の再建法は個々の症例により各種選択されている。

　今回当科において過去5年間に手術を行った慢性中耳炎症例191例について，その臨床所見を集計し若干の知見を得たので報告する。

A statistical observation was performed on 191 cases with chronic otitis media treated with surgi-cal procedures at our clinic between January, 1981 and December, 1985. Of the 191 cases, the incidence of cholesteatoma was 47.6% (91 cases), and the incidence of fistular labyrinthitis was 24.1% (46 cases).

Of 91 cholesteatoma cases, 43 patients (47%) complained of vertigo. And among the 46 cases with fistular labyrinthitis 37 cases (80%) com-plained of vertigo.

Adequate treatment in those with fistular labyrinthitis induced a favourable prognosis.
