術後性頬部嚢腫について—症例とその統計的観察

POSTOPERATIVE MAXILLARY CYSTS

　Ⅰ．緒言

　所謂術後性頬部嚢腫は昭和2年，久保猪之吉教授が上顎洞根治手術後8年目に頬部腫脹を来した26歳，男子の患者に発見，命名し，更に，昭和8年，本症の4例を綜合的に研究し発表されている。その後，数多くの症例報告や統計的観察がなされている。我々は次第に頬部腫脹，眼球突出及び眼球偏位，複視，軽度視力減退を伴つた2房性の術後性頬部嚢腫を1例経験したので発表すると共に，昭和24年から昭和39年迄の15年間の我が教室に於ける本嚢腫の統計的観察を行なつたので報告する。

A postoperative maxillary cyst formed 18 years after the initial radical maxillary sinus operation required a surgical intervention. Three years after this second maxillary operation the patient, again, developed a maxillary swelling which on this occasion it was accompanied by exophthalmus, upward displacement of the eye-ball, double vision as well as a slight loss of vision, nasal disc-harge with nasal obstructions. Thirty other similar cases that occurred in author's clinic, during the recent 15 years from 1949 to 1964, are commented and discussed.
