はじめに

　抗菌薬の発達した現代において，鼻中隔膿瘍は比較的稀な疾患である。しかし，早期診断と適切な処置がなされなければ，髄膜炎や敗血症といった重篤な合併症や，治癒後に外鼻変形を引き起こすことがある。今回われわれは，歯性感染から鼻中隔膿瘍をきたし，治癒後に後遺症として鞍鼻を呈した1症例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　We report a case of nasal septal abscess caused by odontogenic infection. The patient was a 16-year-old boy who was referred to our clinic with purulent runny nose and nasal congestion. Contrast-enhanced CT showed abscess formation in the anterior part of the nasal septum connecting an apical lesion. Incision and drainage of the nasal septum were performed immediately. A Penrose drain was placed, and a nasal tamponade was inserted. In addition to systemic administration of antibiotics, the apical granuloma was removed by the dentist. However, a saddle nose was unexpectedly observed 6 days after discharge.
