Ⅰ．はじめに

　Forestier病（強直性脊椎骨増殖症）は椎体前縁の異常骨化により椎体の強直，変形をきたす疾患であり，整形外科領域では比較的よく知られている疾患である^1）。Forestier病の一般的な症状は脊柱の可動制限，背部痛などであるが，稀に骨増殖が進み，多彩な症状が出現する場合がある。今回，われわれは嚥下障害，呼吸苦を呈したForestier病の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A case of Foresteir's desease（ankylosing spinal hyperostosis） with severe dysphagia and slight dyspnea in a 77-year-old female was reported. The patient complained of a difficulty swallowing and hoarseness for long. Radiogram of the cervical spine from C4 to C6 showed excessive anterior cervical osteophyte. Video-fluorography and laryngoscopic examinations revealed that the posterior wall of the esophageal orifice showed a swelling and laryngeal leukoderma. Because she refused osteotomy for the anterior cervical osteophyte, we performed tracheotomy and gastrostomy. Foresteir's desease may sometimes lead to dysphagia and dyspnea and it is important to distinguish this disease from other diseases.
