Lymphomas arising in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)are reffered to as MALT lymphomas. The most frequent site of MALT lymphomas in gastrointestinal tract is the stomach, but they are also known to occur in the salivary glands and thyroid glands in the head and neck area. A 77-year-old female presented with a palpable 20×20mm mass in her left parotid gland. A left superficial parotidectomy was performed. The pathological findings were consistent with MALT lymphoma. After surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy was administered for high grade MALT lymphoma. The recurrence was not observed for 13 months postoperatively.
