We report a case of Forestier's disease with markedly improved dysphagia after surgical treatment. A 76-year-old male had been suffering from dysphagia for several years. Laryngeal endoscopy revealed a protrusion of the posterior pharyngeal wall. X-Ray and computed tomography showed an anterior protrusion especially at the vertebral body from the 3rd to 4th cervical vertebra. Surgery was performed to avoid damage to the superior laryngeal nerve. Additionally, it was considered that our treatment against dead space at the site of excision not only prevents postoperative hematoma and edema but also improves swallowing function in the early postoperative period.
