A case of hibernoma

I．はじめに

　褐色脂肪は主に冬眠動物に認められる組織で，これに類似した組織より構成される腫瘍が褐色脂肪腫と呼ばれるhibernomaである。一般の脂肪組織に比べ豊富な毛細血管と交感神経を受け肉眼的にも褐色調を帯びる傾向があり，組織学的に細胞が血管を囲む配列を示して内分泌腺に類似することより冬眠腺腫とも呼ばれてきた^1,2）。

　今回われわれは，左胸鎖乳突筋内にCT，MRI，FDG-PETなど種々の検査にて悪性を疑わせた腫瘍を認め，手術的摘出にてhibernomaと診断された1症例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

　Hibernoma is unusual benign tumor derived from brown adipose tissue.

　We presented a case of hibernoma which was detected as a mass at the left sternocleidomastoid region,but the possibility of a carcinoma could not be excluded with all of CT,MRI,Ga-scintigraphy,FDG-PET. Eventually,surgery was performed and subsequent histopathological examination revealed hibernoma for the first time. We reported the clinical history in this case and discussed it in the literature.
