I．はじめに

　カルチノイド腫瘍は主に消化管などに発生する神経内分泌腫瘍であり，頭頸部領域，特に中耳に発生することは極めて稀であり，過去35例の報告があるのみである^1～9）。

　今回われわれは，中鼓室より発生したカルチノイド腫瘍症例に対して耳後法による腫瘍摘出と鼓室形成術Ⅲ型による伝音再建を行い，若干の知見を得たのでここに報告するとともに，中耳カルチノイドに対する治療方針について文献的考察を加える。

　A 57-year-old woman came to our clinic with ear fullness in her right ear for about a year. The tumor existed her external ear canal and middle ear and she showed conductive hearing loss. The biopsy from the tumor revealed it to be a carcinoid tumor. We performed total removal of the tumor with retroauricular approach. Histopathologically,we recognized secretory granules in the tumor cells using an immunohistochemical technique and an electron microscope. Two years after the operation,there was no recurrence. We discussed about treatment of middle ear carcinoids from previously reported cases.
