中耳カルチノイド腫瘍の1症例

Carcinoid Tumor of the Middle Ear

　はじめに

　カルチノイド腫瘍は，主に消化管，気管，気管支に発生し，セロトニンなどのホルモンを産生する神経内分泌細胞腫瘍である。中耳原発のカルチノイド腫瘍は稀であり，われわれが調査した限りにおいては現在まで国内外で34例の報告のみである。今回，われわれは中耳原発のカルチノイド腫瘍の1症例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

Carcinoid tumor of the middle ear is a rare dis-ease. We reported a case of 45-year-old male with carcinoid tumor of the middle ear. The chief com-plaint was right hearing loss for 2 years. Typical symptoms of carcinoid tumor and biochemically active substance in blood and urine were not ob-served in this patient. Immunohistochemical study of the tumor cells showed positive reaction for synaptophysin, Leu-7 and neuron specific enolase. Total removal of the tumor and type IV tympano-plasty, mastoidectomy were performed. No recur-rence of the tumor was observed for 10 months after surgery.
