　伴性遺伝性若年網膜分離症では眼底中心窩の類嚢胞状変化と車軸状ひだ形成を特徴とするが，年長者ではこの典型的な黄斑部所見が不明瞭ないしは確認不能となることが多い。

　本症の46歳と49歳の兄弟症例の1例に，本症としてはきわめて非特異的である典型的な標的黄斑症を経験した。筆者の知る限りこれまでに若年網膜分離症で標的黄斑症を呈することを強調した報告はなく，したがって今後は本症を標的黄斑症の鑑別疾患のひとつとして認識すべきである。非特異的な黄斑部所見を呈する本症の症例に遭遇した場合に，本症と診断するために，銀箔ないし金箔様網膜反射，single flash ERGのnegative波形，4Hz単色光ERGのnegative波形などを確認するとともに，白色樹枝状病巣や螢光造影での血管異常，色素性網脈絡膜萎縮に到っている場合には白色の線状組織の存在などに注意することが有用である。

A 46-year-old male presented with turbid and flat fovea in the right. eye and diffuse pigmentary chorioretinal degeneration in the left eye. The visual acuity in the left eye had been poor since childhood. His brother, aged 49 years, showed irreg-ular chorioretinal macular degeneration in the righteye and typical bull's eye macular lesion in the left. We diagnosed both cases as X-linked juvenile retinoschisis based on the inheritance pattern, silver -gray reflex of the retina, negative type of a single bright flash ERG which is a composite of normal a-wave and reduced b-wave, and a negative rectan-gular configuration of photopic ERG with repeti-tive rectangular stimuli.
