　0.5％マレイン酸チモロール点眼で治療していた緑内障12名20眼で，点眼をニプラジロール（ハイパジール^TM）に切り替えた。原発開放隅角緑内障16眼とステロイド緑内障4眼である。切り替えから平均4.1±2.1か月の経過を追った。切り替え前の眼圧は平均15.5±2.8mmHgであり，切り替え後の眼圧にはこれと有意差がなかった。ハンフリー視野検査では，閾値テストのmean deviation値が切り替え後に上昇し，pattern standard deviation値が有意に低下した。ニプラジロールへの点眼切り替えが視野改善に有効である可能性を示す所見である。

We substituted 0.5% timolol maleate with nipradilol eye drops in the treatment of 20 eyes of 12 glaucoma patients. The series comprised 16 eyes of primary open-angle glaucoma and 4 eyes of steroid glaucoma. The follow up averaged 4.1±2.1 months. The intraocular pressure (IOP) averaged 15.5±2.8mmHg before substitution. There was no difference in IOP after substitution. Humphrey perimetry showed significantly increased mean deviation and significantly reduced pattern standard deviation after substitution. The findings show that substitution of topical timolol with nipradilol may induce improvements in glaucomatous visual field.
