　水晶体嚢性緑内障の63歳女性に両眼の線維柱帯切除術（マイトマイシンC併用）を行った。術後1か月で右眼の濾過胞がやや平坦化してきたため，右眼のみトラニラスト（リザベンR）点眼を開始した。2週間後には濾過胞が良好に形成され，以後約9か月の観察期間中，維持されており，眼圧も9〜13mmHgにコントロールされている。一方，左眼は術後1か月では比較的良好な濾過胞が形成されていたが，その後徐々に腰痕化が進み，眼圧も上昇傾向にある。左右眼のその他の治療には差がないことから，トラニラスト点眼が濾過胞の形成．維持に効果的であったと考えられる。

A 63-year-old woman underwent bilateral trabeculectomy with topical mitomycin C for capsular glaucoma. The filtering bleb in her right eye started to flatten one month after surgery. Instillation of tranilast ophthalmic solution was followed by reformation of filtering bleb with well-controlled intraocular pressure (IOP) for the observation period of 9 months. The left eye, which did not receive tranilalst instillation, started to show scarring of the filtering bleb with elevated IOP. This case illustrates that topical tranilast may have contributed to reformation and maintenance of filtering bleb following filtering glaucoma surgery.
