  • Look Inside

Two males presented with decreased visual acuity. They were aged 71 and 75 years respectively. One had been diagnosed with congenital glaucoma 65 years before. One eye had to be enucleated. The other eye received full-thickness filtering surgery after Scheie. When seen by us,the visual acuity in the seeing eye was 0.5. The other case suffered explosion of a dud bomb 58 years before. One eye became blind. The other eye developed glaucoma 5 years later and received corneoscleral trephining. The visual acuity in the seeing eye was counting fingers. Both cases showed well-formed filtration bleb at the 12 o'clock position. We treated both cases by uneventful cataract surgery and intraocular lens implantation. These cases showed the state of glaucoma surgery more than half a century ago.
