ぶどう膜炎における血漿エンドセリン活性値

Plasma endothelin levels in patients with uveitis

　ぶどう膜炎患者の血漿エンドセリン−1活性値をラジオイムノアッセイ法により測定した。健常者13例，平均2.1±0.6pg／mlに比較して非活動期では2.4±0.9pg／mlで有意差がなく，活動期では5.0±1.0pg／mlと高値を示した。眼外症状を伴う例ではエンドセリン活性値が顕著に高値を示した。サルコイドーシスの1例では，血漿エンドセリン−1活性が前房蛋白濃度と平行して変化した。これらの結果から，全身血管におけるエンドセリンの分泌亢進がぶどう膜炎発症と関係をもっていると思われ，さらに血管の損傷，炎症などによりエンドセリンが血管壁から血中に放出されやすい状態であったと考えられた。

We measured the plasma levels of endothelin-1 by radio immunoassay in 15 uveitis patients and 13 normal controls. There was no difference in endothe-lin-1 levels between patients with inactive uveitis and controls. Patients with active uveitis, particu-larly those with sarcoidosis or Behçet disease,showed significantly higher levels. In one case of sarcoidosis, the plasma level changed parallel with aqueous protein concentration. The findings sug-gest that elevated production of endothelin-1 from systemic vessels may be involved in the patho-genesis of uveitis. Also, damage of inflammation of intraocular vessels may contribute to elevated plasma values of endothelin-1 in active uveitis.
