　中心性漿液性網脈絡膜症22例22眼の網膜断層像を，光学的干渉断層計で観察した。急性期の剥離網膜は，全例で隣接する非剥離部や寛解期より厚く，17眼では限局性の低反射領域があった。急性期の中心窩の網膜厚は平均197.6±22.9μmで，寛解期は平均124.5±10.9μmであった。本症では，漿液性網膜剥離だけでなく，網膜そのものの浮腫を合併することが明らかとなった。

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was performed on 22 eyes of central serous chorioretinopathy. In all the 22 eyes, the detached retina showed increased thickness when compared with the adjoining nondetached retina. The thickness averaged 197.6± 22.9 gm during the acute phase and 124.5 ± 10.9 gm after resolution. The detached retina also showed decreased reflectivity in 17 eyes. The findings show that edema of the sensory retina is invariably present as well as serous retinal detachment in central serous chorioretinopathy.
