  • Look Inside

We evaluated the personal characters of 12 women with central serous chorioretinopathy. Their ages averaged 50 ± 5 years. Dominant adapted child (AC) type and type A behavior pattern were quantified. Age-matched healthy 12 women served as control. A total of 9 cases (75%) in the patient group and 3 cases (25%) in the control group were classified either as dominant AC type, type A behavior pattern, or mixture of both. The difference was significant (p < 0.05) . The findings show that central serous chorioretinopathy is more common in females of dominant AC type or type A behavior pattern.
