Abstract 文献概要

　インスリン抵抗性に高頻度にみられるとされる高トリグリセリド血症に注目し，50歳未満の網膜静脈分枝閉塞症（branch retinal vein occlusion：BRVO）患者26例を対象に，トリグリセリド（triglycer—ide：TG）を含む6項目のBRVO発症との関連について検討した。

　血清TG平均値はBRVO群130 mg／dl，対照群116 mg／dlであり，有意差を認めなかったものの，BRVO群で高頻度に高値を示した。またBRVO群では，75gOGTTにおけるインスリン分泌で全例が何らかの分泌異常を示したほか，73％が3項目以上の異常を合併していた。今回TG単独では，BRVO発症への関与は明らかとならなかったが，インスリン分泌異常を含む多数の因子が関連している可能性が示唆された。

We evaluated 26 patients of branch retinal vein occlusion under 50 years of age regarding : serum triglycerides, serum total cholesterol, blood sugar abnormalities, insulin secretion, platelet agglutina-tion and systemic blood pressure. There was no significant difference in serum triglyceride levels between the patients and 26 controls. All the patients showed showed abnormal response in insulin secretion by 75g OGTT test. Abnormalities in three or more above items were present in 73% of the patients. The findings suggest that several systemic factors, including abnormal insulin secretion, may be involved in the occur-rence of branch retinal vein occlusion in persons under 50 years of age.
