著明な胞状網膜剥離と黄斑上膜を伴った片眼性コーツ病のそれぞれ19歳の2症例を経験した。これらに対して経強膜的網膜下液の排出と輪状締結を併用した硝子体手術を積極的に施行することにより，眼底所見は鎮静化した。本病態を伴う症例には，本法は視機能の改善の面から有効であると考えられた。
We treated two cases of unilateral Coats' disease aged 19 years each. Both cases showed pronounced bullous retinal detachment with epimacular membrane. These eyes were treated by transscleral drainage of subretinal fluid, scleral encircling and vitreous surgery. The subretinal exudate disappeared and the retina became reattached, showing the effectiveness of this therapeutic approach.
