網膜静脈閉塞症のアンケートによる患者意識調査

A questionnaire survey on understanding of retinal vein occlusion by the patients

　網膜静脈閉塞症患者の疾患に対する理解の程度を知り，今後の治療の参考とする目的でアンケート調査を行った。対象は1991年と1992年の2か年間に当科受診の網膜静脈閉塞症患者147例のうち，回答を回収した89例（男42例，女47例，平均年齢62歳，回収率61％）である。アンケートは郵送により7項目について行った。基礎疾患は高血圧が最も多く（50％），受診後の検査によって24例に耐糖能異常が発見された。しかし検査と治療内容に対する理解は十分ではなかった。自覚的改善度については，悪化群7％，不変群25％，改善群69％であった。

We surveyed the interest and the level of information by the patients with retinal vein occlusions. A questionnaire was sent to 147 patients seen during a 2-year period. Reply was obtained from 89 patients, 61%, comprising 42 males and 47 females. The ages averaged 62 years. Systemic hypertension was present in 50%. Abnormal glucose tolerance was detected in 24 cases after seen by us. Visual function was reported to have improved in 69%, unchanged in 25% and deteriorated in 7%. The present study suggests that the patients do not always fully understand the physician's explanations about the disease, data of examinations or the therapy.
