　筆者らは緑内障性変化の自動検出のため，緑内障統合的画像解析システムを開発した。システムは視神経座標設定部（乳頭，黄斑，視神経線維走行から決定される一種の曲線座標系）と緑内障パラメータを提供する5つの解析部，すなわち視野解析部，nerve fiber bundle defect解析部，蒼白部分布解析部，乳頭上血管屈曲解析部，そして各パラメータを視神経座標上で比較する統合解析部から構成されている。緑内障画像に対しての実験の結果，特定視神経方向にパラメータのピークの重複が出現した。当システムが，緑内障の評価に対し有効であると思われた。

We developed an integrated glaucoma analysis system using computer-assisted image processing techniques for color fundus photographs. This sys-tem automatically evaluates the visual field, optic nerve head and retinal nerve fiber layer. It includes a nerve fiber coordinate system and 5 analyses ofglaucoma parameters: visual field, nerve fiber bundle defect, disc pallor distribution, bend of disc vessels and nerve fiber coordinates. We applied the system to glaucoma eyes. There were overlappings of parameter peaks in certain nerve fiber direc-tions. This system promises to be of value for the diagnosis of glaucoma.
