Iridocorneal endothelial syndromeにおける両眼の角膜内皮変化

Corneal endothelial changes in the fellow eye in iridocorneal endothelial syndrome

　Iridocorneal endothelial syndrome8例の両眼（発症眼および非発症眼）について，角膜内皮の形態的変化をスペキュラーマイクロスコープ，コンピュータ解析をもちいて検討した。

　発症眼では細胞密度，変動係数，六角形細胞頻度の全てにおいて統計学的に有意な変化がみられた。非発症眼では変動係数，六角形細胞頻度の2つで有意な変化があった。

We evaluated 8 apparently unilateral cases of iridocorneal endothelial syndrome. We paid partic-ular attention to the contralateral, unaffected eyes. Specular microscopy and computer-assisted mor-phometry were used to evaluate the corneal endoth-elium. The findings were compared with 24 eyes in matched normal subjects.

When compared with control eyes, the affected eyes showed significantly lower endothelial cell density. The unaffected contralateral eyes showed significant changes in endothelial cell size (polymegathism) and hexagonality (pleomor-phism) but not in cell density.
