Iridocorneal-endothelial syndromeの4例

Four cases of iridocorneal endothelial syndrome

　4例のiridocorneal-endothelial （ICE）症候群（3例はChandler症候群と1例の本態性虹彩萎縮症）を報告した。このうち，Chandler症候群の1例で，投薬で眼圧がコントロールできず，trabeculectomyを行った。術中，採取された隅角組織および虹彩を透過型電子顕微鏡で観察した。隅角のコラーゲン層には，長さ1μm,50〜70nmの周期を持つ異常コラーゲンが認められた。従来報告されている虹彩表面の異常角膜内皮細胞が確認できた。

We observed iridocorneal endothelial syndrome in 4 cases: 3 cases of Chandler syndrome and one case of essential iris atrophy. One eye showed elevated intraocular pressure necessitating trabeculectomy. The excised specimen showed, by electron microscopy, abnormal collagen fibers of 1 μm in length with bands of 50 to 70 nm in the trabecular collagen lamellae. We also observed abnormal endothelial outgrowth onto the iris which has been reported as characteristic to the syndrome.
