要約　目的：照度計を用いることで，羞明を数値化できないかを検討する。対象と方法：過去2年間に羞明の訴えのあった15例（男性3例，女性12例），平均年齢63.5±12.7歳を対象とした。検査室の明るさを上げていき，最初に羞明の訴えのあった照度を記録した。結果：羞明を訴えた照度は平均612.1±263.8lxで，眼瞼痙攣では最も低く330.0±136.0lxであった。処方した遮光眼鏡の視感透過率と今回の値との相関はなかった。結論：照度計での羞明評価は参考になると考えられた。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the usefulness of luminometer in the evaluation of photophobia. Cases and Methods：This study was made on 15 patients, comprising 3 males and 12 females. The age averaged 63.5±12.7 years. Patients were asked to report the first sensation of photophobia after gradually increasing the illumination of examination room. The value of illumination was defined as the threshold for photophobia. Results：Threshold for photophobia averaged 612.1±263.8 lx. It averaged 330.0±136.0 lx in patients with blepharospasm. Threshold for photophobia showed no significant correlation with the transmittance of light-shielding glasses prescribed before. Conclusion：Luminometer was useful in the evaluation of photophobia.
