　視力の回復した視神経疾患患者に対し，レーザー干渉縞視力を経時的に5分間測定した。

　高輝度下（平均輝度1500cd／m^2）では全例に経時的な視力の低下が観察されたが，Ttibinger静的中心視野，VECPにおける障害程度の相関は認められなかった。

　またJIS規格による一般事務の適正照度に相当する平均輝度250cd／m²においても36例中6例に低下が観察された。この6例に対し，疲労現象の軽減を目的としたサングラスの処方を行ったところ，患者の訴えが少なくなり，視神経疾患患者の日常の視作業を容易に遂行する上で，臨床的に極めて有用と考えられた。

The fatigue phenomenon in measurements of laser interference visual acuity was examined in 36 patients (42 eyes) with recovered optic neuritis. During the five minute test period, a rapid fall off in the grating visual acuity was found in all cases at an average luminance of 1500 cd/m². Reducing the luminance to 250 cd/m², which corresponded to the ,Japanese Standard of Luminance for official work, still resulted in a time-based fall off in acuity in 6 out of 36 cases.

There was no relationship between the fatigue phenomenon of laser visual acuity and the defects in Ttibinger's static central field or VECP latency delay.
