緒言

　特発性網膜剥離は日常屡々遭遇する疾患であるが，これが一家族に多発する症例は非常に稀で本邦では僅かに2例の発表を見るのみである。著者は最近1家8人中4人に裏を見せた網膜剥離，或は硝子体剥離を認めた症例に遭遇したので文献に追加しようと思う。

The author encountered with the mother and the second son of a eight membered family who were aflicted with retinal oral detachment. From the inspection of the family line he found out partial oral detachment of the eldest son and the vitreous detachment of the eldest son and the vitreous detachment of the second daughter. They were aflicted with high myopia and amblyopia. The rest members of the family showed no ophthalmic anomaly.
