ナダプチノールの視紅再生に及ぼす影響

On the action of Adaptinol to the rhodopsin regeneration

　Helenienは一種のカロチノイドたるLuteinのDipalmitinsaureで，網膜色素上皮内に相当量存在しており，Studnitz,Niedermeierによつて暗調応機能を促進することが見出され，現在バイエル社よりアダプチノール（Adaptinol）の名のもとに発売されている。

　本邦においては池田教授によつて始めて紹介された。その後，正常眼の暗順応に及ぼす影響については池田・宮沢・楠部氏，網膜色素変性症に対する効果については衣笠・長谷川氏，岡氏の報告がある。

After the 2 days administration of adaptinol (1/4 tablet each day) for Bufo vulgaris formo-sus, its rhodopsin regeneration was examined at the 3 rd day. The regeneration was found to be hindered. However, after the 4 days, continuous administration of 1/4 tablet of adaptinol, rhodopsin regeneration was measured at 6th d ay and found to be remarkably promoted. Such an experimental result shows us the evidence that this agent will be clinically effective for Retinitis pigmentosa and for Hemeralopic diseases, by promoting the dark adaptation.
