カルバメート（SevinR）長期経口投与による眼所見について—特にrubeosis iridisのモデル実験として

Experimental Study on Rubeosis Iridis:Longtermed, low-dosage oral administration of carbamyl ester (Sevin) in Wister rats

緒言

　Rubeosis iridisは，定義としては虹彩組織内における血管拡張と結合組織の増加であるといわれている^1）。一方臨床的には，虹彩炎のない虹彩部の血管拡張または新生を称し，糖尿病，網膜中心静脈閉塞症，出血性緑内障その他に起こるといわれている^2）。Rubeosisとは糖尿病に必ずしも特異的ではないが，糖尿病の重症な合併症の一つとされている。若年者では罹病期間の長い人に，老人では短い人にも発生するという。この場合はほとんど常に両眼性であり，重症の網膜症を合併していることが多い^3）。

　一方組織学的には，虹彩面上の新しい血管の存在（必ずしも血管新生とはいわぬ）と，前述の定義とは逆に，炎症または新しい組織増殖を伴わぬ状態を呼ぶと記した発表もある^2）。

Rubeosis is a term to describe the reddish appearance of the skin of the face in diabetics. The term rubeosis iridis is applied to the iris with non-inflammatory vascular proliferation particularly in diabetics of long standing condi-tion. An obvious vascular dilatation with engorgement of the iris capillaries has been re-ferred to as rubeosis iridis in clinical conditions.

An experimental study to develop rubeosis iridis in animal eye has not been made in the previous report.
