緒言

　現代生活の中では視機能の健全さがことさらに要求される面が少なからずあるのに鑑み，その検査法は関連分野から関心がもたれ，無資格者によつて操作されうる視機能スクリーニング器械が普及してきており，従来の手動式器械よりも省力化，検査条件の一定化を図つたAuto-Screeno—Scopeの試作を私ども^1）は先に発表したが，今回は改良した装置とその使用成績について報告する。

The "Auto-Screeno-Scope" is an automatic instrument for the eye screening reported pre-viously. The scores of visual acuity, stereosco-pic depth perception and phoria obtained with the instrument were evaluated in this paper. The visual acuity scores included 5.6% over-referrals (the estimation of acuity was too low), 12.5% under-referrals (too better) and 81.9% aggrements in comparison with the results by using the chart available commonly in Japan for the distance visual acuity testing. Over-referrals of 7.4%, under-referrals of 23.3 % and agreements of 69.1% were also obtained for the near visual acuity testing.
