白内障の成因に関する実験的研究（第4報）—水晶体のアミノ酸輸送の加齢的変動についての研究

緒言

　水晶体は角膜とともに透明眼組織に属しかつ無血管無神経の組織で，終生透明を維持して発育を続ける特異的な器管である。栄養物の供給は胎生期には血管系によるが，生後はまつたく血管組織を欠き周囲の眼房水および硝子体液より水晶体膜を通して補給され，新陳代謝を営み透明を保持しているゆえに，ほかの眼組織とは異なつた代謝機構の存在する可能性が十分に推測される。したがつて，水晶体の代謝を論ずるにはまず，その透過性の問題を解決することが肝要である。

　近年組織および細胞培養が生物学の各分野において広く応用されるようになり水晶体においても，1936年Bakker^1）2）が人工的な培養液中で培養に成功したのをはじめとして，多くの研究者によりさらに検討されin vitroでの培養が可能となり，水晶体の機能を生化学，電子顕微鏡，組織化学などのそれぞれの観点から研究が活発に行なわれるようになつた。水晶体のアミノ酸の透過に関する研究はKinsey and Reddy^10）14）Kinoshi—ta^16）17）らがRadioisotopeを用いてin vivo，in vitroの両面から研究されているが，しかしその年齢的影響についての文献はSippel^12）の報告をみるのみで数少ない。

Crystalline lenses of rats were cultured on T C medium 199 to which ¹⁴C labeled α-amino iso-butyric acid (AIB) was added to examine ch-anges due to the aging in the transport of ami-no acid into the lens.

Then, by the use of metabolic inhibitors, ef-fect of aging on the inhibition of active trans-port of amino acid was studied.

As the result, the following findings were obtained:

(1) ¹⁴C AIB was actively transported into the lens fairly rapidly.

In the Infant and youthful group, ac-cumulation of amino acid increased in pro-portion to the period of time until hours.
