THREE CASES OF SO-CALLED CHRISTBAUM-SCHMUCK'S CATARACT

緒言

　Sautter^1）はその著書の中で，水晶体核に種々の色にキラキラと輝く結晶形成をみた白内障をChristbaumschmuck （クリスマスツリー装飾）と形容して記載した。水晶体内の結晶形成については，内外の文献に少なからずその報告をみるが，それは主に白色あるいは無色透明な結晶物で，本症のように光を当てると多彩な色に輝くものはSautterと飯沼^2）の報告にみるのみであり，いささか珍しいものと思われるのでここに報告したい．

Three cases of crystal deposit cataract were presented. In every case, fine needle-like crys-tals which accumlated mainly in the lens nuc-leus, glisten in red, blue and green like a deco-ration of Christmas tree.

While laboratory data presented no remarka-ble changes, these crystals seemed to be chole-sterin, even we could not prove that.
