白内障の成因に関する実験的研究（第3報）—正常ネズミ水晶体の遊離アミノ酸の加齢的変動について

緒言

　白内障の発生機序はきわめて複雑であり，すでに多くの研究があるが今なお明らかでない。もつとも一般的な老人性白内障を考えてみても老化ないし，加齢による水晶体の各種代謝の低下にのみ基づくものなのかも明らかでない。われわれは先に白内障の発生を理解するためには水晶体のエネルギー代謝，蛋白合成の阻害および膜透過性の変動の3つの方向から有機的，総合的に考慮する必要があることを述べた。著者は蛋白質およびpeptideの構成材料となる遊離アミノ酸が加齢的変化（Aging）とともにどのように変動するかを目的として正常ネズミの水晶体を材料とし，アミノ酸自動分析計（Automatic amino acid anal—yser）を用いて分析したのでここに報告する。

The content of free amino acids and its in-vert compounds in the lens of normal rats with age was determined with an automatic amino acid analyser. Almost of amino acids increased with age up to about one month after the birth and then decreased gradually. While the lens is supplied the nutrition of almost all of Amino acids from the surrounding aqueous humor and the vitreus humor with active transport, the change of amino acids in the lens with age may be considered from the permeability of the vitreus membrane, lens capsule and so on.
