緒言

　虹彩の前葉，前房隅角ならびに角膜後面の形成不全，すなわち，虹彩強角膜線維柱帯の硝子様肥厚，角膜後面胎生環，非円形瞳孔，索状虹彩等の症状を示す前房の中胚葉性形成不全が，1935年Rieger^18）によりはじめて報告されて以来，同様の報告が多数なされているが，本症候群に網膜剥離を合併した症例の報告はまだないようである。われわれはこのたび，Rieger症候群に合併した特発性網膜剥離症例を経験したので報告する。

A 19-year-old female developed retinal de-tachment in the right eye which also shawed characteristic signs of Rieger's syndrome and mi-crophthalmos.

It was the authors' opinion that the detach-ment was not caused by the above complica-tions but was probably of accidental nature. The detachment was cured by equatorial circulage operation. Also the lens opacity in the affected eye detected at the first visit cleared up completely after cure of the detach-ment.
