I．緒言

　脳腫瘍のさいに現われる眼症状についてはすでに数多くの報告がなされている。それにもかかわらず数はそれほど多くはないが脳腫瘍の症例で眼科的疾患と混同されている例に遭遇する。私はこのような観点から最近5年間に名大病院にて手術を行ない診断が確定した72例を選びその眼科的症状を主に分析し，過去に発表された症状と比較してみた。

Appraisal of ophthalmological findings was conducted in 72 surgically verified cases of brain tumors.

The material comprised 24 cases (33.3%) of meningioma, 20 cases (27.8%) of glioma, 9 cases each (12.8%) of pituitary adenoma and craniopharyngioma among others. Besides the known classical symptoms, following characte-ristics could be confirmed.

The visual acuity was unimpaired (more than 20/20) in 40% of the cases, while detrioration of vision to less than 0.04 was present in 21% of the cases.

The fundus findings were normal in both eyes in 35% of the cases.
