脳腫瘍の眼症状に関する研究

緒言

　眼症状の有無，ならびにその神経眼科学的分析が，脳腫瘍の早期発見と部位診断とにさいして重要なことは，脳神経外科の発達などによる実証的裏づけによつても，今日すでに広く認識されるに至つている。脳腫瘍は多様な眼症状を呈し，その質的関連についての研究は多いが，その量的関係を追求したものは少ない。眼症状が脳腫瘍の発見や部位診断に，量的にははたしてどの程度に関与しているかは，眼科臨床医の大きな関心を呼ぶ。著者はこの問題を東北大学医学部脳神経外科で開頭した200例の脳腫瘍患者について統計的に調査研究してみた。

In a study of 200 consecutive cases with histologically verified intracranial tumors from the Neurosurgical Department of Tohoku Uni-versity, Sendai, Japan over a period of 4 years and 8 months, the following statistical results were obtained.

1. It is known that the incidence of glioma and meningioma are lower, and those of neuri-noma, pituitary adenoma and craniopharyngioma are higher in Japan than in the United States and European countries, but except for cranio-pharyngioma, the difference was not so much in my series as shown by other investigators.
