I．緒言
Bromelain （またはBromelin）は，蛋白分解酵素の一つで，パインアップルの果汁または葉茎の絞り汁より抽出されたものである。近年本剤による抗浮腫，抗炎作用が明らかとなり，臨床面に使用され，化学療法剤との併用による報告も多数見られるようになつた。われわれも，今回成熟白色家兎を用いChloramphenicol （CPと略）とBromelain （Brと略）を併用し，家兎の実験的眼感染症に対する効果を検討したので以下にその成績を報告する。
Animal studies were conducted to assess the possible beneficial effects of Bromelain, one of the proteolytic enzymes, when administered through peroral route. Following findings have been confirmed :
1. The concentration of chloramphenicol in the aqueous humor in rabbits following admini-stration of chloramphenicol with Bromelain was about the same as single administration of ch-loramphenicol intramuscularly.
2. The bacterial count in the aqueous humorof rabbits after inoculation of Staph.
