Vitamin C点滴静脈内注射の眼圧に及ぼす影響

Influence of Intravenous Infusion of Vitamin C on Ocular Tension of Glaucomatous Eye

I．緒言

　Vitamin Cが血中に比し房水中に大量含まれていることは，周知の事実であるがFriedenwald，et al．^1）はその起原についてactive transportの存在をみいだし，また，Goldmann　＆　Buschke^2）3）は血液房水柵の変化の房水中vitamin Cにおよぼす影響について報告している。

　しかし，1964年Linnér^4）5）がvitamin Cの眼圧下降作用に関する研究を発表するまでは，vitamin Cの眼圧におよぼす影響を取り上げた者はいなかつた。最近，わが国でも，鈴木とその一門がvitamin Cをカイウサギならびに緑内障患者に静注し，すぐれた眼圧下降作用を認めている。

A 20% vitamin C (sodium-salt) solution was intravenously infused in dosage of 250cc in 14 cases of glaucoma (acute congestive glaucoma: 4 cases, 5 eyes; chronic simple glaucoma: 3 cases, 5 eyes; chronic congestive glaucoma: 5 cases, 4 eyes; absolute glaucoma: 4 cases, 4 eyes). The results obtained were as follows:

1) Ocular tension showed a marked decreaseranging from 15.6mmHg to 47.8mmHg imme-diately after the infusion.

2) Tonography performed 2 hours after the infusion, when the ocular tension was markedly lowered, revealed a definite improvement in C value.
