Studies were conducted to evaluate the hy-potensive effect of Acetazolamide (biamox) after a single i. v. injection to various glau-coma subjects.
The material consisted of 88 eyes, being co-mposed of 5 groups : normal (23 eyes), simp-le glaucoma with IOP under 30mmHg (23 eyes), simple glaucoma with IOP of over 30mmHg (12 eyes), secondary glaucoma with IOP und-er 30mmHg (12 eyes) and of over 30mmHg(19 eyes). Diamox was diluted with saline solution and the equivalent of 500mg was inj-ected into the brachial vein.
