I．緒言

　当院が開院されて本年で満5年を迎える。そこで37年5月の当院開院以来41年12月までに訪れた網膜芽細胞腫患者について，主として臨床的所見より検討を行なつたので，その結果について報告する。

　眼科開設が開院後2年たつた39年9月であつたためもあつて，症例効は今までの報告例に比し少なくまた観察期間も短いが，一人の医師が短期間に観察しえた症例数としては必ずしも少なからず，また一人で諸検査，治療にあたつた結果，種々の印象を抱いたからである。

During the 5-year activity since the opening of the Hospital in May, 1962 to December, 1966, 31 cases of retinoblastoma were detected and five of them, belonging to 4 families, proved to be of familial occurrence. In the present paper an attempt is made to appraise the possible characteristics of these familial cases as compared with the sporadic ones.

1. The retinoblastoma was of bilateral occur-rence in 2 out of the 5 familial cases. As it occurred bilaterally in 11 out of 26 sporadic cases, no difference in incidence of bilateral occurrence is present between) the familial and sporadic cases in the present group.
