Two Cases of Multiple Sclerosis with Optic Neuropathy

Ⅰ．はじめに

　わが国では，多発硬化症の診断に抵抗が多く，本症診断の意義なども一般には理解されていない現状である。これには，昔わが国の本症否定論の影響が，いまなお残つていることと，他方，本症には定型がなく，従つて臨床診断のきめ手もないとされていることと，二つの条件が考慮される^1）〜13）。

　しかし，神経眼科学的には本症診断のきめ手をつかむことができる。つぎに，自験例でこのことを例証しておきたい。

The authors described two cases of multiplesclerosis with optic neuropathies. The first case was' that of ocular type of multiple sclerosis in a woman, 19 years of age, who was attacked by acute retrobulbar neuritis o.d. with papilloedema and by posterior internuc-lear ophthalmoplegia. These clinical conditions came to functional cure to almost normal within about four weeks of admission, but relapsed through incidental angina followed by remi ssion leaving pallor of the optic disk.
