The authors described two cases of multiplesclerosis with optic neuropathies. The first case was' that of ocular type of multiple sclerosis in a woman, 19 years of age, who was attacked by acute retrobulbar neuritis o.d. with papilloedema and by posterior internuc-lear ophthalmoplegia. These clinical conditions came to functional cure to almost normal within about four weeks of admission, but relapsed through incidental angina followed by remi ssion leaving pallor of the optic disk.
