　最近われわれは球後視束炎を疑わせる症状を呈し，開頭術により視束及び視束交叉部を圧迫している腫瘍を摘出し，組織学的に悪性変化を起した鞍上脳膜腫（Suprasellar meningioma）なることを確認したが，不幸にして鬼籍に入つた症例を経験したので報告する。

A man aged 44, was referred to our clinic by an ophthalmologist with the diagnosis of pro-bable retrobulbar neuritis on February 23,1955. Approximately one year ago, he first began to notice the progressive failure in the vision of the left eye, then the vision of the right eye was also becomming blurred since five months.

Physical examination : Slight dystrophia adiposogenitalis was noted. Erythrocyte sedimen-tation rate was 58/1 hr., 85/2hr.. Thorn-test was positive. Liquor pressure was 220 mm, the pleocytosis 427/3, remarkable xanthochromia and globulin reaction positive.
