I．緒言

　眼瞼癌の治療は小なるものでは切除後の簡単な整形手術により治癒は比較的簡単であるが，これがある程度の大きさに達し切除が不可能となると放射線治療によつてこれを根治させねばならない。又，上眼瞼を広範囲に犯すものでは切除は比較的容易であるが，これを整形し機能の回復をはかる事は中々困難である。

　更に，内眼角に出来るものでは屡々深部に浸潤し，眼窩骨，節骨洞，涙嚢等を犯す為に一層問題が厄介となる。

Electron beam irradiation is very appropriatefor treatment of palpebral cancer.

The author reported that Electron treatme-nt successfully cured patient who had exte-nsively invaded lower eyelid by squamous cell carcinoma resistant to x-ray irradiation.

If complete resection of tumor, of course, were possible, surgical treatment should be done to avoid the sequelae by irradiation. But, if it will be necessary to excise upper lid widely, electron treatment is better than operation because postoperative recovery of upperlid function is not expected to follow a favorable course.
