二・三職業にみられる眼症状について

Study on some symptoms of the eye observed with the several occupational persons

Ⅰ．いとぐち

　近代科学の進歩は多くの場面に於て，その作業環境をかえ，そこに新しい疾病の発現を見ている。最近交通関係の従業員のうち自動二輪車乗務のもの，及び工場作業者のうち電子計算機作業のキーパンチヤー，製図作業者等になんとなく眼が痛い，ざらざらするという訴えが集団的にあつた。そこでこれらについて調査した結果角膜に軽微な変化を見出した，このことは単に個人の保健の問題のみでなく作業能率，事故発生にも関係することであり，その対策としての薬剤の効果を検討した。

　これらのことは症状として比較的軽微なものであり，特に著しい障害をもたらさないものであるが，こうした問題を見出し解決することは，新しい産業眼科学として重要なものであると考えるので報告する。

A frequent incidence of pain or "foreign body" sensation of the eye has been compla-ined of by some groups of occupational per-sons. These complaints were mainly due to the diffuse superficial opacity of cornea.

In general, opacity was found at the infero-nasal segment of the cornea in riders of motor bicycle, and superficially over the entire co-rnea in the group of key punchers.

In the former case, the degree of corneal opacity was dependent on the severity of the duty of patrol and on the past duratian of service.
