生活環境と眼精疲労

Study on the Living Condition and Asthenopia

I．まえがき

　近代科学の進歩は人の生活環境を著るしく変えている。人の住居もこの例にもれず，木造よりコンクリートと変化しつつある。また内部様式も畳，板，壁といつたものも，それぞれ合成材に変化している。こうした科学の進歩にともなう居住性の変化は人体に何等かの影響を及ぼしていることは充分考えられる。すでにコンクリート等による冷えの研究^1）などに見られるところである。

　筆者らは机表面の色彩及び材質と照明光源の質による眼疲労への影響の研究中に，実験室の床等の条件が意外に眼機能への影響のつよいことを知り，このことは近代生活に於ける眼精疲労の増加ともからんで興味あることと考え報告する次第である。

An experiment was conducted in v. hich se-veral surface materials of the desk were inv-estigated to solve the problem on revelation of asthenopia caused by visual work. Least variation in accommodation of the eye was observed in the case of wooden material, al-though remarkable difference was not noticed among materials.

But remarkable influence of flooring mate-rials (wood, vinyl tile, concrete), upon skin temperature of the leg was observed, namely, lowering of skin temperature during the exp-erimental period being noticeable mostly in the case of concrete, and being very slight in the case of wood.
